Daily Readings – Past, Present, and Future!

Day 1795: Fridays are good enough, and with God, Fridays and every other thing are that much better!

Scripture:  Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.  From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy.  Psalm 61:1-3

Thoughts/questions:  Past, present, and future are addressed by David. Past – David goes to the past last, and it is here where he finds encouragement. The past where God has already been a shelter and strong tower for him – we often need to reflect on what God has ALREADY done in our lives!

Present – Cry out to God in prayer no matter where we are – always a good idea. Future – It’s important for our thoughts and desires to go to a higher place than ourselves! Especially when that higher place is God, our rock!

A good way to live – Cry out in prayer; move to a higher place; and never forget what God has already done!

Suggested prayer: Lord, let the words of these verses be my prayer today . . .
