Daily Readings – OK You People!

Day 1796: Yep, it’s the weekend, but we are still the servants of all – even on the weekend!

Scripture:  My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.  Psalm 62:5-8

Thoughts/questions:  David first shares his intense personal relationship with God as He gives ALL credit for his success to God and he was the king, not just an average Joe! Then he challenges the rest of us – you people – that’s us!

David’s real goal is for us to also be able to say the same things he wrote before challenging us in the last verse! Please reread the first three verses and make them your own!!!

Suggested prayer: Almighty God, You are my rock and my salvation. You are my defense, my salvation, and my glory! I take refuge in You alone . . .
