Daily Readings – A Loving Judgment!

Day 1811: In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path!

Scripture:  You, Yourself, are to be feared; and who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry? You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still when God arose to judgment, to deliver all the oppressed of the earth. Psalm 76:7-9

Thoughts/questions: When I consider God as judge, I am so thankful for His grace and mercy, or fear would dominate my thoughts of God’s judgment of me.

I also think about God’s judgment as something that is finally going to give the ‘bad’ guys what they deserve. However, the Psalmist states that the focus of His judgment is not to bring punishment, but to deliver all of the oppressed! Wow!

God’s eventual judgment will bring an eternity of joy to those who have not had much to be joyful about! He frees the oppressed! What a loving remarkable God we serve!

Suggested prayer: Father God, even in judgment You demonstrate Your love. May my life do the same . . .
