Daily Readings – Speak the Truth!

Day 1827: It’s the last Monday in September, so Christmas is less than 3 months away!

Scripture: You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty, say to the Lord, “My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1, 2

Thoughts/questions: Humanly speaking, we are to humbly appreciate hearing truthful statements regarding our successes or accomplishments. Also, we are told that we should state how we feel about our spouses, friends, family, co-workers – the old ‘if you love them, let them know.’ Speaking words of appreciation and acknowledgement is very important.

The Psalmist tells us it is the same with God. If we love Him, we should state that. If we consider Him our Deliverer, attribute that to Him with words. If we believe He is our Redeemer, call Him that! If He is your Lord, speak that to Him.

Say to the Lord what you know Him to be in your life! Speak to Him regarding who He is and what He’s done!

Suggested prayer: Lord, you are my King, my Counselor, my Strength, and my faithful and true God. You are my Redeemer, Messiah, Creator, and Friend . . .
