Daily Readings – Promise to flourish?

Day 1828: Treat your family well today!!!

Scripture: The just shall flourish like the palm tree and shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lordthey shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall bear fruit and even in old age they will stay fresh and green, Psalm 92:13-15

Thoughts/questions: Words like flourish, growth, bear fruit, stay fresh and green – these don’t always characterize our lives and certainly don’t seem to reflect the persecuted church.

However, where does this all happen? In church? Within our families? Within our community or country? Possibly, but all of us aren’t always experiencing this type of life at these places. BUT, the just WILL flourish in the courts of our God!

Even though we may be ‘the just’ on earth, we still may continually struggle with certain aspects of life and get discouraged or feel defeated, but in the things God considers important – in His courts – that is where we are flourishing!

Keep the faith, don’t be defeated – God sees you as flourishing, growing, bearing fruit, and staying fresh and green – even when you reach old age!

Suggested prayer: Lord God, I will never quit . . .
