Daily Readings – God’s Marketing Plan!

Day 1838: Come Lord Jesus, come . . .

Scripture:  For He looked down from His holy height; from heaven the Lord gazed upon the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free those who were doomed to death. That men may tell of the name of the Lord in Zion and His praise in Jerusalem.  Psalm 102:19-21

Thoughts/questions: Part of any successful marketing program is an effective ‘word of mouth’ campaign. Without that, the best advertising program’s impact would be limited.

God has the same plan – that His people promote Him via word of mouth! He looks down from heaven and His heart is to be in relationship with everyone, but He especially seems concerned about the down and out.

And now it’s our turn to tell of the name of the Lord in Zion and His praise in Jerusalem. Using the marketing analogy – we may be using the product (be a Christ follower), but if we’re not talking about it (Him) then we’re not fully utilizing the ‘word of mouth’ principle. 

Let’s not limit God by being silent! Speak about who He is and what He’s done!

Suggested prayer: Dear Lord, when I should speak, help me to  . . .
