Daily Readings – A True Perspective!

Day 1841: Another Monday to celebrate what God is doing and has done in our lives.

Scripture: Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dustAs for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, and its place acknowledges it no longer.  Psalm 103:13-16

Thoughts/questions: Our frame – something so many put a lot of energy into making stronger and/or better looking. God knows this frame is merely dust. When we look into the mirror do we ever see future dust? Yet that is what this body will be and most of our bedroom dust currently comes from these dusty bodies!

And God knows that our 80 years compared to eternity makes us like grass or a flower. We will quickly be gone and in a few years precious few will ever remember we ever existed. Do we recognize the temporary nature of our existence on earth?

God’s perspective is the true one! How’s yours?

Suggested prayer: Lord God, thank You for eternal life . . .
