Daily Devotionals – I’ll take a small please!

Day 1919: 2014 is rapidly leaving us . . .

Scripture:  Therefore, if I am in Christ, I am a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!  II Corinthians 5:17

Thoughts/questions: As we ring in the new year, decisions regarding change are pretty normal. But sometimes we overplay our hand. We commit to change physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially and more – we will help God and really make ALL things new!

Think about this? We already know what’s broken and how we should be different, but we are doing ourselves a disservice by super-sizing our resolutions. Let’s order up a small serving instead! Limit yourself to one or two changes ONLY!

To God, the time to change is every present moment we live, so minimizing your goals does not mean you have to wait until 2016 for others. No, gain victory over that one thing, then move to the next at that point!

Pick the most important thing! One thing at a time! Stick to it! Be victorious!  And then truly have a Happy New Year!

Suggested prayer: Dear Lord, reveal to me the number one thing I need to focus on and help me to finally become victorious . . .
