Words in Red – Uniquely special!

Day 1507:  If you have never felt/believed how uniquely special you are to Jesus, maybe His words/actions in today’s words in red will change that!

Context:  A Gentile woman came to Jesus pleading at His feet for Him to heal her demon-possessed daughter.  After hearing His answer to her request, she responded that even the dogs get the crumbs from under the table.   Later, a deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to Jesus.  Jesus then physically touched Him, looked into heaven, gave a deep sigh, and spoke.

Scripture:  “Let the children (Jews) be satisfied first.  It is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”  And He said to her, “Because of your answer, you may go; the demon has left your daughter!”  Spoken to the deaf man’s ears – “Be opened!”  Mark 7:27, 29, 34b

Thoughts/questions:  Why did the touch of His garment heal someone earlier in Mark, simply His words heal this demon-possessed girl, and then the deaf man with the speech problem is healed by Jesus touching his ears and then touching the man’s tongue with His own saliva???

To me this screams out to us that ALL of us are COMPLETELY unique, and Jesus will interact with EACH one of us accordingly!!!  Jesus CANNOT be put in a box and have us command Him to act certain ways according to our cues!  No!  We all are truly uniquely special to Him; therefore, we should not compare our situation with others; we should take in and absorb all that He is to us; we should always be thankful for His dealings in our lives; and we should move ahead with purpose within all of our circumstances every day!!!

Remember, Jesus will be to you what you need Him to be when you need Him to be it!!!

Suggested Prayer:  Jesus, I don’t know how You do it, but thank You for individually loving me and taking care of me . . .
