Daily Readings — Organic – not for Jesus!

Day 2058: Funeral today. The hope/promise of heaven – priceless!

Scripture: For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.  Isaiah 64:6

Thoughts/questions: The early days of computers often referred to this phrase: ‘Garbage in, garbage out’ because when you put garbage into the computer, you received garbage in return. Presently, the culture in the U.S. focuses on what we put in our bodies and ‘organic’ is the way to go!

Whether it be computers or bodies, we try to avoid having bad things enter in and sermons have been made on this; however, this is a different twist. While we’re busy trying not to input bad, Jesus does things differently!

When we receive Christ, He is in us and we are in Him! Kind of like an empty cup in a large container of water with us as the cup and Jesus as the container of water. When emerged in the water, the cup is in the water and filled with it, but there is extra water available for many more cups. We in Him (completely), and He in us (all of Him, yet He has more of Himself for others)!

So does Jesus worry about taking ‘bad’ into Himself? NO!!! He takes us inside of Him and WELCOMES us with ALL of our sin and stains! Wow!!! What a wonderful Savior and glorious Lord!!!

Suggested prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for extending to me the privilege of hiding in You . . .
