Psalm 103 — Good Things Never End!

Day 2155: Continuing with just who our amazing God is using Psalm 103!

Scripture: As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, and its place acknowledges it no longer. But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant and remember His precepts to do them. Psalm 103:15-18

Thoughts/questions: The first fourteen verses of Psalm 103 specifically address how great God is, and now humanity is contrasted to the Almighty. So frail that a mere wind transfers them into a vast lake of the forgotten. Not a very promising existence!

But not only is our Lord eternal, His character traits are from everlasting to everlasting! There is no beginning or no end to Him and His lovingkindness. His mercy extends to all who have ever lived!

And even a special promise to grandchildren – if their grandparents keep God’s law and His covenant, those grandchildren will receive a gift of His righteousness. Grandparents, do your part so God can bless your grandchildren with His righteousness through YOU!

Quite a contrast between God and man! He is God and we are not!!! Never forget that!

Suggested prayer: Father God, I am weak; I need Your mercy; I need You. Help me . . .
