Daily Readings — Not enough?

Day 2185: Continuing with the series regarding turning our fears into faith!

Scripture: Fear not, for I am with you; Do not be anxious about anything; Do not fear or be in dread of them; For God did not give us a spirit of fear; Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go; But perfect love casts out fear; Be strong; fear not; The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Various scriptures

Thoughts/questions: Today the focus will be on fear resulting from not having enough.

Enough money, enough time, enough ability, enough of any resource that we might believe to be critical to accomplishing a task before us. When we don’t have enough, fear creeps in! How can we manage to pay the bills, get the needed things done, achieve what people expect me to achieve??? We think we need more, but don’t have it! This is certainly a time to become anxious and fraught with fear.

Fear turned to faith is more than simply raising our income, cutting expenses, creating a payment plan, reducing our activities, or increasing our skills – all of these are good, practical things we should do, but don’t replace faith within the present time of lack.

Lack of control; just can’t do it; there’s not enough time – God loves this! When we are weak, He is strong THROUGH us! At these times be ready for Him to work through the miraculous solving of your issue or giving you peace within your need! Have faith!

Suggested Prayer: Father God, when I know I can’t, help me to have the faith that you can . . .
