Biblical Phrases — Lord of lords!

Day 2216: WordPress is apparently a day behind again??? I’ll do my best . . .

Scripture: On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.  Revelation 19:16  For at just the right time Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God, the King of all kings and Lord of all lordsI Timothy 6:15

Thoughts/questions: Lord is defined as a person who has authority, control, or power over others. Both of today’s verses remind us that Jesus is Lord of lords as He has authority and power over anyone who sets themselves up to be a person of power.

We may not consider ourselves as ‘lords’ yet the question still remains – Is He our Lord or is He our lord? The Bible states firmly that He is a full-time Lord, not a part-time lord, but we often pick and choose where and when we allow His Lordship.

Lord or lord? Lord of all or lord of some? That decision is entirely up to us! Choose wisely.

An added thought – from the verse in Revelation, it appears Jesus has a tattoo . . .

Suggested prayer: King of kings and Lord of lords, I yield everything to You. I choose to make You the Lord of my entire life . . .
