Proverbs — Proverbs 2:20-22

Day 2265:  Life to the fullest or a life that will be destroyed.  Today’s Proverbs compares the two!

Proverbs: I should follow in the footsteps of the Godly and stay on the right path.  Then, I can experience life to the fullest and be able to remain steadfast.  If I choose the wrong path and am not faithful to the Lord, I will lose what blessings God has already given me, and my life will be destroyed.   Proverbs 2:20-22

Thoughts/questions: From our perspective, these verses make it sound like if we have life to the fullest, we would be part of the rich and famous. And if our lives were to be destroyed, it would be homeless shelter city for us.

However, we know the above is not true for those who are on those paths, so what gives? What gives is that God’s path IS the right path, and the wrong path is not filled with earthly potholes and construction, but is merely NOT being on God’s perfect plan for our individual lives!

Could the rich and famous be on a path in which their lives will be destroyed? Absolutely! Could someone currently in a homeless shelter be on God’s right path? The same absolutely!

Follow in His footsteps; remain stedfast; and let God take care of defining what is a life to the fullest or destroyed!!! Stay on the right path!

Suggested prayer: Father God, help me not to set my sights on the things of this world, but to always stay on the path You have prepared for me . . .
