Proverbs — Proverbs 3:13-20

Day 2268: May God’s love be felt, seen, and known by you today!

Scripture: I am blessed when I find wisdom and understanding!  It is actually more profitable to me than acquiring silver, gold, or precious jewelry.  Nothing else compares with it, as wisdom gives me long life, riches, honor, pleasure, and peace.  Wisdom is a tree of life and blessings:  I must hold tightly to it.  The Lord created the earth by His wisdom, and His understanding set the heavens in place.  By His knowledge the waters were divided and the skies brought forth rain.  Proverbs 3:13-20

Thoughts/questions:  Three characteristics of God are found in these verses: His wisdom; His understanding; and His knowledge. And a result of that is our earth, the heavens, and water (my favorite entity within creation!) – Wow! And His desire is that we attain these as well!

We then will have the result of long life, riches, honor, pleasure, and peace! Our ‘creation’ would be pretty impressive as well. If we don’t find wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, then what will the result of our lives be? If you’re anything like me, you’ve experienced some of those results when your choices weren’t quite the ‘wisest’!

Proverbs promises to deliver God’s perspective – His wisdom; His understanding; and His knowledge. Join me daily through Proverbs and earnestly seek after the things that are on God’s priority list, not the world’s! (Unless you truly value the perishable silver, gold, or precious jewelry???)

Suggested prayer: Lord God, help me to desire what You desire for me . . .
