Proverbs — Proverbs 20:6-10

Day 2346: Rejoice in the Lord!!! Again I say, rejoice!!!

Scripture:  It’s easy for me to say that I am loyal and kind, but it is truly hard to find someone who is really faithful.  When I am godly and live a life of integrity, my children will be blessed.  Rulers who sit on their thrones of judgment can stop evil  with a single glance.  Who can say, “I have made my heart clean; I am pure from my sins”?  If I behave dishonestly in my business and personal dealings, the Lord will detest them both.  Proverbs 20:6-10

Thoughts/questions:   When I am godly and live a life of integrity, my children will be blessed.  God wants us to LIVE a life of integrity so that even the people closest to us (our children who see us in action at home) will be blessed by our lives and not become exasperated or bitter.

We may fake it sometimes, but our families know who we really are! And may they be blessed because of who we really are! Fathers, remember, research states that you are the MOST important factor in the chosen behavior of your children – especially your daughter!

No one can say they are perfect or acceptable to a holy God.  Awhile back we stayed in Greece with missionaries who are working with Muslim refugees.  Those refugees try to stay away from shame and state that they are not guilty.  However, when our friends speak with them one on one, they privately state that they can’t please God because of their many ‘secret sins.’  We all sin, secretly or otherwise, and thankfully we have a Savior who has taken care of that problem, as we cannot!!!

Suggested prayer:  Almighty God, help me live a life that parallels my words . . .
