Proverbs — Proverbs 20:26-30

Day 2351: May your light shine brightly today!

Scripture:  A wise ruler winnows evildoers, and drives the threshing wheel over them.  My spirit is like the light of the Lord, which searches through all the innermost parts of my being.  Rulers who govern with grace and truth have stable governments upheld by righteousness.  When I am young, my glory is in my strength; the beauty of being old is in my gray hair.  Blows that wound purge away evil, and punishment can impact one’s inner being.  Proverbs 20:26-30

Thoughts/questions:  God shines light into our darkness!  When we were created, God gave us a moral, intellectual, and spiritual nature, which allows us to bring His light into everything.  God uses that spirit He created us with to bring light into our innermost parts, our soul, so that we all can see the truth of His word.  At that time, we decide for or against Him, but we all have a chance to believe.  We are made with His light and also have the light of His presence – shine those lights deep into your soul and eliminate any darkness!

As ruler of our lives, we are to separate (winnow the chaff from the wheat) evil from our good and get rid of it!  As the threshing wheel ran directly over the grain to force separation of the wanted from the unwanted, so are we to drive our threshing wheel directly over our lives and bring separation regarding what God would have us keep and what He desires to remove.  Start driving your ‘threshing wheel’!!!

Suggested prayer:  Living God of the universe, thank You for Your words of wisdom.  Shine Your light and help me see myself clearly . . .
