Proverbs — Proverbs 27:18-21

Day 2387:  Today, let us open our eyes to the works of His hand!!!

Scripture:  Workers who care for fig trees are allowed to eat their fruit, and if I take care of my employer’s interests, I will be honored.  As my face is reflected in water, so my heart reflects the type of person I am.  Death and destruction are never satisfied, and neither are the eyes of a man.  Fire tests the purity of silver in the crucible and gold in the furnace, and I am tested when I am praised.  Proverbs 27:18-21

Thoughts/questions:  One of the many amazing qualities of what I believe to be God’s second greatest creation after humans – water – is its ability to reflect.  Like water, our heart reflects us and lets everyone know who we are.  Our heart’s greatest communication tool is our mouth – Jesus said that out of the abundance of our heart the mouth speaks.  Unhappy with what the mouth is speaking?  Go to the heart!  Ask God to give you His heart of compassion and your speech will change!!!

MEN – I try to stay away from gender when translating, but not here!  The eyes of a man are never satisfied!!!  So true – watch the reaction of males when they see an attractive, partially clad female at a beach and it is like they had never seen one before!!!  How much soft/hard porn is enough???  Get it guys – your eyes will NEVER be satisfied, so STOP trying!!!  Ask God to give you His eyes and to see females the way He views them!!!

Suggested Prayer:  Living God, change my heart and my eyes, and fill me with compassion  . . .
