Proverbs — Proverbs 28:1-5

Day 2389: In a few weeks half the year will be gone – slow down 2016!!!

Scripture:  As a godly person, I can be as strong as a lion, but the wicked even run away when no one is chasing them.  When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a leader who uses knowledge with understanding maintains stability.  A poor person who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that destroys the crops.  If I forsake the law, it is like praising the wicked, but when I keep the law, I am resisting them.  Evil people don’t understand justice, but when I seek the Lord, I understand it completely.  Proverbs 28:1-5

Thoughts/questions:  What a great thing it is to live a life of faith as a godly person!!!  Sometimes we get so used to having faith in something bigger (understatement) than ourselves, that we fail to notice our response in light of what our lives would be without our faith.  When we are attacked or difficulties arise, we eventually (the sooner the better) turn the issue over to God and face it with an inner strength resulting from our knowledge of Him!  No matter what happens, we never have to run away in fear!

The U.S. is being rebellious against God and the integrity of our future leader is currently in question.  Let us always pray for wisdom for our country’s leadership! One leader will be elected, but we are certainly witnessing many rulers as chaos surrounds this year’s election. Use these unstable times to change a conversation from political bickering to one that shares how our trust in God is our rock no matter what happens!

Suggested Prayer:  Most gracious and merciful God, thank You that in my weaknesses You show Yourself to be my strength . . .
