Great Chapters in the Bible — Psalm 23

Day 2212:  Finishing ‘great chapters’ today and returning to the end of Proverbs tomorrow!

Scripture: Surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.  Psalm 23:6

Thoughts/questions:  God’s goodness and mercy are promised to follow me all the days of my life.  I think the plan is for them to be ‘with’ us every day, but when we, the sheep, go astray and go our own way, we still can be assured that His goodness and mercy will ‘follow’ us until we slow down and go together ‘with’ God!

Our present life and our eventual future – it’s all covered!!!!  We currently have all of His goodness and mercy available to us, but soon we will be living in HIS HOUSE!!!  We don’t know exactly what that ‘house’ will be like, but Jesus referred to it as our ‘mansion’ so we know it will be absolutely AWESOME!!

Psalm 23 is short, but filled with sooooooo much.  Read it and reread it while soaking in everything that the Lord IS towards you every day!!!!

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, and He leads me beside quiet waters.  The Lord restores my soul.  He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.   Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.  Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Suggested prayer:  Wow Lord, You are an awesome God and You bring so much to my life.  I am nothing without my Shepherd!  Thank You . . .
