Psalms — Psalm 102 – A People Yet Created!

Day 2713: Have a great spring weekend!

Scripture:  Hear my prayer, O Lord! And let my cry for help come to You. Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress; incline Your ear to me; in the day when I call answer me quickly. My days are like a lengthened shadow, and I wither away like grass. But You, O Lord, abide forever, and Your name to all generations.

You will arise and have compassion on Zion; for it is time to be gracious to her, for the appointed time has come. So the nations will fear the name of the Lord and all the kings of the earth know Your glory.

This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord. For He looked down from His holy height; from heaven the Lord gazed upon the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free those who were doomed to death. “The children of Your servants will continue, and their descendants will be established before You.”  Excerpts from Psalm 102

Thoughts/questions: Legacy! We all WILL leave one, so the only question is ‘what quality of legacy will we leave?’ Will our legacy be that because of the influence we have on our family, a people yet created (our great, great grandkids) will praise the Lord? Or will our future generations merely come and go, withering away like grass?

Our potential impact cannot be minimized. Our legacy must point future generations to Jesus. Don’t let any opportunity to influence your precious family towards God slip quietly away. Be God’s instrument in your family, and later joyfully watch from heaven as your spiritual legacy lives on in their lives!!!

Suggested Prayer: Father God, may my generations seek You as Lord . . .
