Day 2726: Tis an Easter celebration type life EVERY day!
Scripture: Later He (Jesus) appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. Mark 16:14
Thoughts/questions: Jesus closest friends were well aware of what had happened to Him during Passion Week and what was reported to them by the women who had seen the empty tomb. Yet they had a very hard time understanding who Jesus was even after the fact. Jesus certainly noticed that and kind of let them have it for not believing.
This scene WILL be repeated. We too are well aware of the surrounding facts regarding Jesus and His life, death, and resurrection. So when He comes again, He will again rebuke their unbelief and hardness of heart. This scene of unbelief is being replayed right before our eyes.
Choice – we all have it. If you’ve received Jesus as Savior and Lord, your choice is then HOW are you going to live in response to His presence in your life. If you haven’t accepted Jesus, the first choice one needs to make is belief or unbelief. The Bible tells us that we are accountable for both choices.
If you haven’t believed, it’s time to avoid Jesus’ soon coming rebuke of those who still don’t believe. Trust in Jesus as your personal Savior; become a child of God; and a friend who doesn’t need to be reproved!
Suggested Prayer: Father God, I am accountable for all of my choices. May I always choose to follow Your heart . . .
