Psalms — Psalm 108 – Sing, Sing, Sing!

Day 2730: Spending some time with the Grandkids! Nice . . .

Scripture:  O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.

For Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and Your glory above all the earth.

Who will bring me into the strong city? Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies? Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.  Excerpts from Psalm 108

Thoughts/questions: Many of the Psalms were written as songs, and this one has a relatively new chorus which sprung from its words – Be exulted, O God, above the heavens, let Your glory be over all the earth!

When we fully realize God’s mercy and truth, and how we will do valiantly through Him, we definitely should break out in song. In fact, singing all day long would be a great way to spend the day. No matter where you are, think of one of your favorite songs/choruses and sing, sing, sing!!!

Suggested Prayer: Father God, may I continually sing songs of praise to Your glory . . .
