Famous Last Words — All again!

Day 2307: Don’t fall into Fall – JUMP in!!!

Scripture: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Thoughts/questions: Jesus second use of ‘all’ refers to bringing the good news to everyone! We are to ‘go’ with the purpose of ‘making disciples!’

At another time Jesus referred to this command more specifically by indicating ‘Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’ So where do we go? Obviously Jerusalem first! No – our Jerusalem is not in Israel but is the people close to us! Those we contact regularly and those who live in and around our community!

Then we reach out further within our respective nations, and finally around the world. Thankfully, today this around the world part is much easier to do! And when we go to those nations, I encourage you to think outside the box a bit and consider giving to those organizations/missionaries who seek to make disciples in countries opposed to Christians.

Groups like Brother Andrew; Voice of the Martyrs; or the organization I am part of, CTI, which reaches out to the Koreas, China, and Myanmar; are excellent ways to make disciples of all nations!

Suggested Prayer: Father God, help me to see the people in the entire world as You see them . . .
