Luke — Go!

Day 3114: Summer weekends are flying by . . . Enjoy!

Scripture: After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place where He was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.   Luke 10:1-3

Thoughts/questions: While on vacation we met with a couple who shared the variety of their short term mission trips, especially to India helping people with their eyes. I also shared my B’ball mission trips to China and the Korea’s, and it struck me yesterday how these trips really made the highlight reels of our lives!

So when Jesus said ‘Go’ it was not a selfish command, but one in which (if followed), it would provide those who do ‘Go’ with experiences and joys which will be some of the best parts of their memories forever!

We ALL should ‘Go’ at some point in our lives! It may not be easy or convenient, but truly    the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Opportunities abound! You will never be the same! It’s a win/win – please don’t read this, nod your head in agreement, and then not ‘Go.’ Talk to someone, make a plan, and GO!

Suggested Prayer: Lord Jesus, may my life be an instrument of Your peace . . .
