Prayer — Our Example!

Day 4888: The best way to learn – from others!

Scripture: It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12 After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone. Matthew 14:23 Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, Luke 3:21 In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there. Mark 1:35

Thoughts/questions: A common expression is ‘Actions speak louder than words’ and it is used often. I think it applies to Jesus and what He did. He prayed. And we are to follow His example. Probably a short prayer when baptized and then one time He prayed all night. We don’t, and probably can’t, have to pray exactly how Jesus did, but we are to pray!!!

If you call yourself a Christ follower, then follow Him in the arena of prayer! I know I need to!
